Our History
Vamos Academy was born from a love of skate and surf, and a deep connection to the vibrant coastal town of Pichilemu, Chile.
Our journey began in 2018 under the name Escuela de skate Pichilemu, the first skate school in town, created to share the passion for skateboarding with the local community.
What started as a grassroots skate school quickly grew into a community hub, bringing together passionate riders of all levels and ages.
In 2021, we evolved into Vamos Academy, a new name that reflects our expanded vision. “Vamos” means “let’s go,” and that’s exactly our vibe: always moving, always growing, always pushing forward.
Today, we blend skate and surf into a unique academy experience that’s all about fun, flow, and progression. From the streets to the waves, Vamos is more than an academy, it’s a lifestyle!
Our Mission
Meet the Coach
Hola! My name is Felipe, proud founder and coach here at Vamos Academy.
I’m originally from Chile, where I discovered my passion for sports at a very young age. I started skating early on, drawn to the creativity and freedom it offered. Later, I found myself riding the waves at iconic Chilean surf spots like Puertecillo and Punta de Lobos in Pichilemu. That’s where I truly fell in love with surfing.
My lifelong connection to movement, balance, and the outdoors naturally led me to pursue a career in coaching. I’m now a qualified trainer, dedicated to sharing my experience and helping others grow through sports.
Over the past 12 years, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to coach all over the world, learning from diverse cultures and adapting my approach to help students of all levels thrive.
At Vamos Academy, I aim to create a space where learning is fun, challenging, and always empowering.
